Our School Vision and Values
Vision Statement
Belonging, learning and flourishing together in God’s love.
Rooted in God’s love and inspired by St Clement’s call to live in harmony, we are an inclusive and caring church school where every child and adult is known, valued and nurtured. We work as a united team to create a strong sense of belonging and to inspire a love of learning and academic success. Through perseverance, encouragement and high aspiration, we empower everyone to flourish and to strive to be the very best we can be in all aspects of life and learning.
Underpinning Bible Verse
As a church school, our vision and values are rooted in Christian teachings. We aim to create a caring and supportive environment where every member of our community can grow and flourish. At the heart of our school are our six core values: compassion, love, respect, community, hope and self-belief.
Our work is guided by the Bible verse:
‘Encourage one another and build each other up’
(1 Thessalonians 5:11)
Rationale behind it:
This verse underpins everything we do. It calls us to show love and compassion, treat one another with respect, and work together as a strong community. We believe that when people feel supported and valued, they develop self-belief and a sense of hope, enabling them to thrive both personally and academically.
How We Live This Out Every Day
- Encouraging one another
In our school we strive to show compassion and love by ensuring every child and adult feels known, valued and supported. Through positive relationships and kindness, we aim to build self-belief and confidence, encouraging a love of learning and everyone to aim high.
- Building each other up
In our school we aim to foster a strong sense of community, where everyone works together with respect and understanding. We support one another through challenges, developing resilience and maintaining hope, so that everyone feels they belong.
What Our Values Mean in Our School
- Love
Love is at the heart of our school. It reflects God’s love for everyone and helps us create a nurturing, inclusive environment where all feel cared for, valued and supported. It encourages kindness, forgiveness and strong relationships.
- Community
We are proud to be a close and supportive school community. We aim to work together—children, staff, families and the wider community—to create a sense of belonging where everyone feels included and valued. Through this, children explore their responsibilities to themselves, to others, to our community, to the environment and to the wider world, understanding that their actions make a difference.
- Self-belief
We want every child to believe in themselves and their abilities. By encouraging confidence, resilience and perseverance, we support children to take risks in their learning, overcome challenges and achieve their best.
- Respect
Respect helps us create a calm, inclusive and welcoming environment. We value everyone as individuals, celebrate differences and encourage children to be thoughtful and responsible members of society.
- Compassion
Compassion teaches us to care for one another with kindness and understanding. It helps children develop empathy, supports positive behaviour and ensures everyone feels safe and supported.
- Hope
Hope inspires us to look forward with positivity and confidence. It encourages children to aim high, believe in a bright future and understand that, with support and determination, they can succeed.
Moving Forward Together
By focusing on these six values, we aim to build a shared understanding across the whole school and help our children truly live them out in their daily lives. They reflect what our community told us is most important—and will continue to guide us as we grow, learn and flourish together.
