Sponsored Marathon - Action Duchenne

This year the school council decided that our chosen charirty for 2018 would be Action Duchenne. This charity supports people living with a debilitating condition known as muscular dystrophy. It is sadly a life shortening condition which mainly affects boys.

Two members of our school family are particulary aware of this as they know a young man with the condition and their family are supporting his family with this.

Mr Molkenthin ran the London Marathon to raise money and we thought we would do the same and have a Sponsored event. In doing this raised further funds for the charity. The field was measured and the children ran 264 laps as either a class or as a group counting their laps together (no child ran the full distance themselves).

The children managed to raise a staggering £595 for the charity. The school council presented Mr Molkenthin and Mrs Deeble with a cheque.

Operation Christmas Child - Shoe Box Appeal

The School Council asked the children of our school to fill an empty shoe box with treats and gifts for children around the world that are less fortunate than ourselves.

Here are the school council with the many donated shoe boxes ready to be collected.
