Hedgehogs
This week the Hedgehogs enjoyed a Fire Safety talk where they learnt what it is like to be a firefighter and all about how to keep safe at home. In PSHE we had some great discussions about rewards and consequences and found out all about fish and amphibians in science. The person I have chosen this week has tried their best in all our learning and is always keen to complete her work. She is super helpful in the classroom and a kind and friendly member of our school community. It is lovely getting to know you Grace, keep up the good work.
Squirrels
What an amazing week we have had in the Squirrels class. On Wednesday we had a great day at Creswell Crags learning more about Stone Age life and becoming paleontologists by piecing together a skeleton. Everyone in the class were great ambassadors for our school. This particular Squirrel joined in with every activity and worked well with his group. Well done, keep up the great work Ronnie, you have made us very proud.
We have had a lovely week in the Hedgehogs class writing about our story ‘The Seed is Sleepy’ and super character descriptions about the girl in the story ‘The Magic Finger’. The Hedgehog I have chosen this week has impressed me with her determination in phonics and her motivation to read. She always shows kindness to her friends and is super helpful in class. Thank you for working so hard Jayla, well done!
Badgers
We have had a very positive end to our week. The Badgers were exploring evacuation during WW2 and took part in a debate for and against. We have also been discussing people that inspire us for giving back to our community. The person I have chosen this week for inspiring us and bringing such positive energy to our class. They are enthusiastic and always try to challenge themselves. Well done Alfie, you star!
