Hedgehogs

This week has flown by in the Hedgehogs class. We have loved retelling and writing about our class story ‘How to Catch a star’. The person I have chosen this week has impressed me with his attitude to our learning. He has enjoyed finding out about Mary Anning and has delighted us all with his amazing collection of fossils. He not only wowed us with his knowledge but also had the confidence to share his fossils with the squirrels class. Well done Arthur, you are a superstar!

Squirrels

Another busy week in the Squirrels class. We have been learning about how life changed during the stone age, enjoying our new text ‘The Stone Age Boy’, and continuing with place value in maths. The Squirrel chosen this week has impressed us all with his independence, especially in his learning. He has been working so hard and joining in with all class discussions. We have had a lovely week in the Hedgehogs class writing about our story ‘The Seed is Sleepy’ and super character descriptions about the girl in the story ‘The Magic Finger’. The Hedgehog I have chosen this week has impressed me with her determination in phonics and her motivation to read. She always shows kindness to her friends and is super helpful in class. Badgers

Another fun filled week in the Badgers class. This week we have been reading our text ‘Letters from the Lighthouse’ and building our grammar and punctuation skills to write diary entries. We have also produced some great street art designs in Art and understood how WW2 started. The person that will be receiving the values award this week for showing our value of community, has been taking part in classroom activities, and sharing their ideas well. In addition, they have taken on the role and responsibility of school milk monitor, and during playtime activities has shown great sportsmanship and teamwork with a positive attitude. Well done Arthur, keep it up!
